Tuesday 19th Jan 21

19:00-20:00: Israel, a culinary tour (open to all). 

Israel, a culinary tour National Geographic is bringing together a panel of guests to discuss where to try the best street food, finding out how top chefs are pushing boundaries with flavours and locations, discovering how the country has become one of the world’s top vegetarian destinations and exploring the vast and versatile array of fresh ingredients produced around Israel. From the vegan hotspots of cosmopolitan Tel Aviv to the cool bars, restaurants and live music at Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda market, food is at the heart of Israeli life. They'll talk about the best the cities have to offer, the thriving wine estates of the wild north, Arabic and Mediterranean fusion food in small towns around the country and everything in between. They'll explore the colours, flavours, sights and smells of Israel’s culinary scene, city by city, uncovering top tips, inspiring itineraries and getting you in the mood for travel once more.

09:30-10:30: Breakfast club (members only)

At Gravity Finsbury park, the breakfast club is back! A pastry selection will be available in the communal area on Wednesday morning. Start the day the flakey way! 🥐

17:00 - 18:00: Yoga Nidra Live Zoom Meditation with FEELUNIQUE (open to all) 

This meditation will help support your mental wellbeing and help you glow from the inside out. Yoga Nidra is not a physical form of yoga. Rather, it is a guided meditation that uses awareness techniques to restore the body while also interrupting the process by which we engage in stressful thoughts. It helps us create a perspective on the things that happen in our lives by giving us the tools to dis-identify with them rather than get caught up in them. At the start of the session, there will be a 10-minute introduction to Yoga Nidra and its benefits. Then the meditation. 

What you need to get ready... Lie on bed or on yoga matt on floor Blankets to cover you as your body temperature will drop - make sure you are warm Eye mask/pillow if you like Cushion under head Bolster under knees to support back.

18:00 - 18:45: Energising Yoga Flow with @carolineinspired (open to all) 

Warm-up for Calisthenics at 7 with our very own Juan, with this energising yoga flow, brought to you by Sweaty Betty: Who said yoga wasn't sweaty? Caroline will take you through an energising practice that ignites your inner power + physical strength, leaving you feeling uplifted physically and mentally.

19:00 - 20:00: Calisthenics Fitness Class with Gravity member, Juan Forgia (members only)

In this class, Juan will be bringing us all together virtually to focus on the body. With gyms being closed this is a great opportunity to work out and meet other members. Calisthenics is a discipline which utilises gravity and your own bodyweight to create a form of resistance training. Which means that no matter your initial level there’s always a way to adapt the exercises according to your capacity. From pull-ups to push-ups, to handstands, calisthenics combine strength, mobility and flexibility like few other sports in the world.

Juan is the 2019 UK & Ireland Weighted Calisthenics Champion and has been one of the judges of the first Female Calisthenics Competition in the UK. Today that experience allows him to teach and help people from all ages and genders to overcome their limits and reach all their goals unlocking a whole new level of strength and confidence. Calisthenics goes beyond calories and amount of repetitions. It’s about trying new things and enjoying movement, while you build strength to reach new skills.

Friday 

11:00-12:30: Community Coffee Catch Up with Eleanor (members only)

Join Eleanor, along with other Gravity members across London for a virtual chat. She will be hanging out on Zoom for an hour every Friday with a cuppa. So if you have any questions, suggestions, feedback or even if you're just a bit lonely, jump on and say hi!

19:00-21:00: Community Friday Games Night (members only)

At Gravity Finsbury park, all members are invited to a fun night of wine, games and delicious snacks!  Head over to the communal area, unwind and put blue monday behind you 🥂 🍷
