A mindset to thrive
Le Wagon is the leading intensive bootcamp for coding, with 39 campuses across the globe. Le Wagon places a core focus on striving for excellence in professional development, teaching an entrepreneurial mindset and the skills needed to get employed by top employers such as Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and Uber. To date, Le Wagon graduates have started 100+ start-ups, receiving over £10m in funding. To complete the intensive course successfully, students must give full dedication to the course over the 9-week full-time course, or 24-week part-time course; fully immersing themselves in everything the course has to offer. The accommodation partnership has been created to aid course retention and to increase employability through an immersive collaborative living environment of young professionals.
The problem with London living
Over 50% of their student intake has to relocate to London for the course. The usual renting model is difficult to navigate with limited options around flexible length contacts. Having an all-inclusive billing is also key, reducing the additional stress of organising council tax, bills, utilities, high-speed wifi and cleaning. Wellbeing is a core element in order to increase retention and productivity, ensuring that students have wellbeing support and activities scheduled. Lastly, professional development, creating networking opportunities, business contacts and potential new business partners or freelancers to get their business off the ground.

I got a lot of benefits and help in achieving my personal goals. Being surrounded by other ‘startupers’ is very helpful, I’ve had so many interesting conversations with other members that have given me very valuable inputs, so from the professional side, it’s a very good environment. Also, another member I met living at Gravity is designing the website for my start-up, I have found some great collaborators here.”
